Sussex Landscape Photography - Trip Report

During the first weekend in September I took an opportunity for a long weekend on the south coast of England with the aim of capturing the Sussex coastline. Being based in Brighton gave me great access to the pier and beach for sunsets and I also spent the days touring along the coastline towards Kent stopping at some of the popular and less well known locations. Being after the August bank holiday weekend, the coastline was relatively quiet so parking wasn't an issue as I think it would be on a peak weekend. My driving took me as far east as Normans Bay where I spent a little time exploring the pebble beach that I often frequented as a child. I then travelled back through Pevensey Bay taking time to visit the castle before exploring the beach at Eastbourne and the chalk cliffs of Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters. In all, it was a great weekend and I was lucky with both the weather and tide heights enabling me to capture a real variety of images, the best of which are shown below:
