Glen Orchy Waterfall - Classic highland Waterfalls

from £45.00

This photograph was taken in the very beautiful Glen Orchy which is a very quiet glen with a single track road running its full length just south of Rannoch Moor. The water levels in the River Orchy were extremely high thanks to the recent heavy rain and snow melt from the nearby mountains making this series of dramatic waterfalls all the more impressive. The sun tried to make a brief appearance in the background which lifted the light and colour levels in the scene. The rocks were incredibly slippery so I had to be extremely careful taking this and I used a polarising filter to cut the reflections in the water and glare from the rocks
